Lennox to be featured in "Pa' que lo Bailes"
Reggaetonline.net - August 01, 2006 - MALA Productions LLC announced today the collaboration of its artist, Jancy, with RCA International’s recording star Lennox, of Zion & Lennox, and the duo of Charlee & Kingston, on a single titled Sexo Suspenso produced by Myztiko for Jancy: Pa’ que lo Bailes.
“Jancy has had the privilege of aligning himself with internationally known Puerto Rican artists such as Mikey Perfecto of Celia Cruz fame, and now, Lennox, to further catapult his premier album, Pa’ que lo Bailes; an album full of innovative, high voltage songs in the genre of Reggaeton and Latino Hip Hop,” commented Vivian Garcia, President of MALA Productions.
Lennox began his professional career as half of the duo Zion & Lennox, the now internationally known pair who first appeared on many prestigious compilations such as: The Noise, Godfather, MVP, Desafio, Los Matadores, DJ Goldy, Aquiera Innovando, Blin Blin Vol. 1, and Mas Flow. Three years of releasing many popular tracks culminated in the production of their first full-length album, Motivando a la Yal, which combines traditional Reggaeton influences with Salsa, Merengue and Rock. Reggaeton stars Daddy Yankee, Yagga y Mackie, Angel Doze, Voltio and Tego Calderón also appear on Motivando a la Yal released by RCA International in 2004.
The dynamic duo of Charlee & Kingston have recorded more than ten songs featured in compilation CDs, such as Contra Todos, Soprano Music, El Golpe, Reggaetón Fury, Evolución Arrestada and many more. Shortly, the duo will be key factors in promotion of the highly anticipated release of Badfellas, an SPR Music compilation, Inesperados and Historia Platino where C & K collaborated with Reggaeton veteran Alberto Stylee. Recently C & K debuted their latest single entitled Acercate Mas. C & K continue to please audiences internationally, sharing the stage with the biggest names in Reggaeton, always with the goal “to make music that people can relate to and identify with.”
A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Jancy developed his musical talent at a very young age in school performances and events throughout Puerto Rico. In 1995, he first recorded an album with DJ Nelson titled, Little Boys from the Underground, opening the door to other artistic ventures in Connecticut, New York, Santo Domingo, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland and in Puerto Rico where he performed at various clubs, opening for artists such as Wissin y Yandel, el rapero Tempo, and Hector el Bambino. Jancy most recently collaborated with Tampa-based Reggaeton artist and producer of Los Románticos del Reggaetón, Fantazma, on a single and video titled Boricua sin miedo for the album Empire, produced by Link Music’s DJ Miguelito of Puerto Rico.
Sexo Suspenso, the single that features these talented three artists with Jancy, evolved over a period of three months, both lyrically and musically. The artists chose a hard-hitting Reggaeton beat produced by Myztiko of Quebec, Canada, as well as a Hip Hop Remix that incorporates calypso sounds produced by Paul Estanislau of Puerto Rico. Both versions of the song will appear in Jancy’s album, Pa’ que lo Bailes, scheduled for release by the end of September of 2006.
